In a busy weekend for this city, there was more to do and see than we could keep up with. My sunburn is worn proudly today.
Andrew came to visit Kiran, which if you know my kids well then it wouldn't shock you much that we had a fit (ending in tears) over who was allowed to love him more. How do put out THAT fire?
We kept our numbered hours very action-packed starting out with buzzbrews for brunch, followed by ArtLoveMagic where we created art with other families, sh'd on the turn tables and painted a mustache on the cute little Koops. We skipped out on the the Homegrown Fest where many terrific bands took the stage and opted for the free international gets downtown. I can't say enough how drastically different it is from Houston's version! From there, dinner at anvil and finally home to relax.
Today kicked off with a bikeride tour of our neighborhood and nearby college/bike trail. Lunch was phenomenal at Eno's over in oak cliff, so great we soon found ourselves back in oak cliff for their annual festival. A brief stop at home thrust is into more action! Dinner at Mi Cocina, swimming and cake at Gammy for grandma's "21st" birthday as I call it. That wore us out to no end.
Tomorrow Oliver will be elated to have his first real.playdate in Dallas with a trip to LegoLand, Rainforest Cafe, and perhaps another pool party!
