The cleveland small

Well, the Clevelands have had some pretty amazing "firsts" in about 4 hours today!
First, as we hesitantly awake this morning oliver gave his first real hellowwww to daddy as i rolled slowly onto my back to relieve the pain. The first thud was a small effort, but then 4 or 5 improved jabs came right after. He giggled and I still hear it.
I giggled the exact same way at my dermatologists office today. These giggles are almost in place of small happy cries. I was reading Jane magazine, which I opted for over the fishing magazine even though I strongly dislike both. Out of the corner of my eye I saw my badge, which holds a pictures of Kiran, jump. Then it jumped again. Oliver was once again trying to demonstrate his strength and presense. I just laughed, in that nearly damp-eyed manner, and kept watching his acrobatics. I got at least 10 in a row and then I guess he fell tired. That's a lot of work for my little son, I'm glad he got rest afterwards.
As my doctor walks in she says, "Oh, I thought there was someone in here with you already." I simply said, "there is" and smiled down on my watermellon belly.

When you reach these milestones you just keep on going. Now daddy can watch those thuds as he feels them more regularly. And as always, my bladder remains a trampoline for his gymnastics.

braving the steps of the tower, and to my surprise, after passing a bus-load of kids on their way down - we reached the top and there were 2 other couples and us alone. all of the women were pregnant. i think we all had a very proud moment just then - that was a feat not many would take on!!!!
